Tucson, AZ – January 31, 2016

TUCSON, AZ – One of Shakespeare’s first and most beloved works, The Comedy of Errors is a madcap adventure of mistaken identity and the chaos that ensues. Combining farce, slapstick humor and romance, Shakespeare’s tale takes two sets of twins separated at birth and throws them all into a town renowned for sorcery. The result is a comic masterpiece, showing audiences that even a young William Shakespeare knew how to weave a tale that still ensnares us all.

To mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, the Folger Shakespeare Library is sending a First Folio to every state in the United States, and the University of Arizona was chosen through a competitive selection process to be the host site for Arizona! The touring exhibit will be installed at the Arizona State Museum. Join us as we celebrate the greatest playwright of the English language with First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare, and visit firstfolio.arizona.edu to participate in other Shakespeare-related events on and off campus, including our production of The Tempest, running in repertory with The Comedy of Errors!
