What is the Showcase of Talent?

The School of Theatre, Film & Television created the annual Showcase of Talent to ease and facilitate the transition students make when graduating, and we are proud to be able to offer such a valuable resource for our students. Connections made at the Showcase have resulted in employment, internships and representation for hundreds of our students since the program’s inception in 1996.

Through the Showcase of Talent process, our students receive the invaluable experience of interacting with working professionals, and many have realized their dreams of success on Broadway and across the country through their participation in the Showcase. The success of this program is a tribute to you, our loyal donors, whose support of the Showcase and the School allows us to be the southwest’s premiere professional training program.

The audition portion of the Showcase includes contemporary scenes, Shakespearean monologues and musical theatre songs. The agents also review portfolios of undergraduate and graduate Dramaturgy and Design & Technology majors.

How Can You Make a Difference?

You can support the Showcase of Talent by making a donation to the Showcase of Talent Endowment Fund. Your gift will help to ensure that future students have the opportunity to participate in this unique program. Thank you for your support!
