Tucson, AZ – September 13, 2014

TUCSON, AZ – The greatest Italian tenor in the world, Il Stupendo, is scheduled to sing the lead in The Cleveland Opera’s OTELLO. When his wife leaves him a “Dear John” letter, however, the distraught singer takes a double dose of tranquilizers. With curtain time rapidly approaching, opera management kicks into damage control on steroids and what follows is a laugh-out-loud chain reaction of mistaken identity, farcical plot twists, double entendres & musical mayhem. Winner of three Tony Awards, four Drama Desk Awards & nominated for an Olivier for Best Comedy of the Year, this musical farce is a side-splitting pleaser.
