Our school-time matinees are a great way to introduce students to the excitement of live theatre and to provide learning experiences that are relevant to classroom activities. A field trip to the University of Arizona also helps high school students to imagine a place for themselves on campus and encourages and inspires them to consider furthering their creativity and studies at the college level.
We are offering one Adventure Matinees in our 2023/24 Theatre Season:

About
One of Shakespeare’s most beloved romantic comedies, Much Ado About Nothing tells the story of two very different couples fighting for love while battling matchmaking and manipulation. After the performance, students will be able to gain a greater understanding of the play and process during a post-performance Q&A with the director, cast and crew.
Tickets
Adventure Matinees tickets are $9 per student.
One complimentary chaperone ticket is provided for every 10 paid student tickets.
Duration
At this time we expect the duration of the Adventure Matinee (performance and post-show Q&A) to be two and a half to three hours.
Educational Materials
Educational materials will be available for each production. These materials enhance the learning process and extend the theatre experience into the classroom. Teachers who have paid reservations are provided with an electronic link to access these materials prior to the performance date.
Teacher Preview Nights
Teachers who have made reservations for an Adventure Matinee performance are offered one free ticket (additional tickets are $9 each) to the following performances so that they can preview the show before bringing their students. We strongly encourage teachers to take advantage of this opportunity.
